No color proper though. I have the rM 2 and the new rM Pro and its amazing to sketch notes but draw art… not really.

Wish I could explain you in detail how that’s not correct but I’m actually going to play Clair Obscur on my 2080ti on Debian, sorry!
PS: been playing for years with NVIDIA drivers, including VR games, and sure it’s not 100% perfect but neither Windows drivers are. It sure is enough for me to keep on playing (and working) without major issue though. Anyway, gotta play!

Welcome, so I can recommend
can’t access any GitHub repositories without having to sign in. This is becoming frustrating.
Yes… also can’t search.
This is supposed to be OPEN source yet, enshittification by Microsoft here goes down its inexorable path. It started nicely then slowly but surely popular features are blocked behind restrictions, unpopular features are shoved down people through, more marketing is used to try to convince users are actually wrong, etc.
Please, do leave the platform and help others to do so.
Yep, running my own instance for years now.
To be fair though Gitea is by default much lighter than alternatives… because it’s also minimalist. There are but default no runners, no testing environments, etc that e.g. Gitlab provides.
Depends on your threat model. Are you hiding something from random strangers on your network? Your ISP? Apple? The US government? Another government?
require buying additional hardware.
Trade with someone?
What is the main counterargument to this?
True, then enable your SIM when that happens. Not when you have a minor inconvenience but an actual emergency.
irks me that it’s mostly idling
Well it’s a small processor and relatively efficient one at that so… how about going the opposite direction? How about measuring the power draw on idle? With other task? I don’t actually know if that architecture handles that but I saw some things on the do https://developer.arm.com/documentation/100095/0002/functional-description/power-management/dynamic-power-management?lang=en
Also what about using a RPi Zero instead?
Well this next example isn’t about phones but e-bikes. Unfortunately unwise me bought a fancy designer bike made by a national startup (CowBoy, to name and shame them) and I’m now stuck with a fancy metal frame on wheels because the belt is not in stock. Ordered in February, supposed to arrive 60 days later, I’m still waiting, not even an email received, nothing in now late June.
So… yes my next e-bike will be very VERY boring, in the sense of relying on built that have easy to source replacement part.
Yes, it did take few a first relatively large mistake (even though I did use that bike daily for years already) but that’s what I meant by “only work once”. You try, make painful mistake, don’t repeat.
you might be able to get a replacement battery for your 200€ phone, but having to pay 200€ for it.
On the assumption that consumers are somehow rational and have some memory, that “trick” only work once.
Next time a consumer get stuck with a practically irreplaceable battery because it’s too expensive from a company, they will look at other companies selling equivalent products, AND how much they are charging for batteries. I also imagine a business of spare parts because just having to give the right data, e.g. specifications like cell, module, pack, C-rate, E-rate, SOC, DOD, voltage, capacity, energy, cycle life, but also connectors and just size, will probably open up dedicated spare part vendors.
I charged with both connected to a PC and connected to my laptop charger but I didn’t measure if it went hotter or faster, both worked.
Never had a problem, how can I check for USB-C PD?
Daily driving /e/OS on CMF Nothing 1 for months now https://murena.com/shop/smartphones/brand-new/murena-cmf-phone-1/ with 0 tinkering, just bought it and didn’t stop since day 1.
Check my post history for more details (as I discussed a bit more about it just days ago) but basically if deGoogling is important to you (which I imagine since you are posting on the privacy community) then yes, it’s definitely the most pragmatic compromise if you genuinely need Android based apps.
Depends what you are looking for.
If you need a specific Android app that does not work on Waydroid, sure, go for GrapheneOS (or another deGoogled AOSP solution) but if you do no need that (and don’t mind carrying a rather larger phone with limited battery) then PmOS on PP is very interesting to explore.
Interesting times, pardon the pun.
Right, I was starting to think “Oh yeah and maybe I could fzf history…” then wait, I already do that reverse-i-search
then edit. If I use that often enough, alias in ~/.bashrc or even function to make it composable.
| works well for krita / excalidraw / xournalapp
Why Android though rather than Linux proper if your main apps are these?
